With the participation of Religious authorities, Members of the Board of Management of the Greek Community and a large number of parishioners, the festive celebrations were conducted at the Greek Orthodox Community's church "Holy Trinity" in Footscray on Monday 13th June 2011.
The services for the Feast of the Holy Trinity were celebrated by His Grace Bishop Iakovos of Miletoupolis. It was the first time after 30 years that the Divine Liturgy was conducted at the "Church of Holy Trinity" by a Bishop of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia. During his speech Bishop Iakovos referred to the constructive and positive dialogue between the Greek Community and the Archdiocese, which resulted in a significant improvement of the relationship between the Archdiocese and the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne & Victoria and which has benefited the Greek Orthodox faithful of Melbourne.
Bishop Iakovos will be conducting the Divine Liturgy this Sunday 19th June 2011 at the Holy Church of St. Eleftherios, 279 Albion St Brusnwick.
