Synopsis

Why all this effort? The world must understand what the Parthenon Marbles mean to us (to the Hellenes). They are our pride. They are our sacrifices. They are a noble symbol of excellence. They are a tribute to the democratic philosophy. They are the essence of Hellenism.

Bio

Emanuel John Comino AM. Founder and chairman of the first committee in the world for the return to Greece of the Parthenon Marbles (est. 1981) has spent the last 39 years travelling Australia and the world, presenting lectures and arguing the case for the return of the marbles. "I will fight on as long as I live, he says "until England promises to send the marbles back to Greece. I will continue to work for their restitution or until the day I die. They were and remain an integral part of the Parthenon as a monument to the glory of Classical Greece and the civilization it gave to the world."
