Over the last couple of weeks Alphington Grammar School organised a series of celebrations to farewell its Year 12 students.
On Friday 19 October was the first in the series of the celebrations, the Valedictory Dinner for the Class of 2018.
It was a wonderful occasion with the Year 12 students, their families, staff and members of School Council. The occasion saw both a series of formal presentations and speeches but also a more relaxed party with all joining in to dance the night away.
The evening was followed with a breakfast celebration for the Year 12’s hosted by the Heads of House. A BBQ breakfast, games, activities, water slides, jumping castle and even a “karaoke” session. Lots of fun was had by the students and staff before they farewelled the group as their formal examination period began.
“We wish all our Year 12 students and those Year 11’s undertaking a Unit 3/4 subject the very best for the examination period ahead,” said Principal Dr Vivienne Nikou.
