That Changes Presents “9” at the Greek Centre
- Where Greek Centre
- Entry Ticketed (starting at $20)
''9'' is a live 55-minute audio-visual performance that aims for the audience to freely interpret their own experience. ''9'' consists of a collection of nine songs representing the esoteric meaning of personal growth and enlightenment.
Each song is accompanied by a unique visual projection that draws on symbolic elements from diverse cultures.
Exploring the ideas of political awareness, overconsumption, environmental degradation, systemic socio-political weaknesses, and human interconnectedness, ''9'' is a diary of human evolution.
All music is original and created by That Changes.
That Changes is a Melbourne based artist duo of Kostas Veligos and Spiros Antoniades. They have been involved with various music bands and projects over the last 30 years. They came together last year to work on an audio visual project called “9”, comprised of original music, and video/photograph projections.
Kostas has played bass and guitar in various bands in Greece, including Melbourne based band, Gale’s Edge. His other passion is exploring colour, people and landscapes using photographic and video mediums.
Spiros was the percussionist of Xylouris Ensemble, a prominent Melbourne band in the 90’s. After George Xylouris moved back to Greece, Spiros became involved with a number of bands performing live and participating in film soundtracks (the most known being the multi award-winning film “One Night the Moon) and partook in “Golden Fleece”, stories of immigration inspired by the myth of Jason and the Argonauts.
