In this powerful drama, an idealistic father confronts his own moral and ethical beliefs when fighting for justice for his family – whatever the cost.

The progressive Kostas (Manolis Mavromatakis) is a pacifist living a quiet life in Athens where he runs a garden supplies store. His life – and that of his family – is abruptly shattered when they are subjected to an aggravated burglary in their home.

In the aftermath of this infinitely damaging assault, Kostas struggles with what he perceives to be his failure to protect his family when they needed him most. Forced to question his own beliefs, Kostas embarks on a mission to right a wrong.

About the Director:

Born in Athens, Yorgos Tsemberopoulos studied economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business while working as a stills photographer. He then went on to study directing at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. In 1987, he founded Filmiki Productions SA. The Enemy Within is his fourth film, following on front Sudden Love (1984), Take Care (1991) and Backdoor (2000).
