Her digital poem 'Mediterranean Madness' was shortlisted for the Queensland Poetry Festival in 2020, and it was recently shortlisted for the Victorian Multicultural Commission Film Festival. She is a freelance opinion writer who has been published widely across the Australian media, with international publications in The Washington Post, The Guardian, Aljazeera and The Independent (UK). In 2021 she was awarded a Creative Victoria grant to develop her first book of non-fiction, Not Till You're Married, which explores how a strict upbringing manifests in the adult, and she is currently surveying second-generation migrants for this project. <a href="
