Live at The Greek presents... the amazing Ifigeneia Ioannou!
Coming all the way from Greece to deliver an unforgettable performance, Ifigeneia Ioannou will be playing the very best of Rebetika with Nikos Papadimitriou and Con Kalamaras.
Ifigeneia Ioannou bio:
Ifigeneia Ioannou graduated from the Pallini Experimental Music School and continued her musical education, obtaining a Degree in Harmony from the National Conservatory of Athens, a Degree in Guitar, a Diploma in Guitar, for which she was awarded an A, and also Degrees in Counterpoint and Fugue. She holds a degree from the Department of Traditional Music of the Technological Educational Institute of Epirus, specializing on the qanun and also a postgraduate degree from the Music Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in “Interpretation of Instrumental and Vocal Music”.
She is part of the musical ensembles “Esperanto” and “ Rembetika arranged for the Guitar” with Dimitris Mystakidis, and appeared with Dimitris Lappas in the ensemble “Ta Peiragmena”. She has also made a series of appearances with various music groups on stages in Greece and all over Europe and she has collaborated with many important Greek artists, such us D. Savvopoulos, M. Lydakis, H. Tsertos, G. Perris ets.
She currently teaches at the Athens School of Music.
