Live at The Greek presents Demotika - Historic and Heroic 2
Bringing vibrant melodies and ancient lyrics to life through two unique sections, Historic and Heroic 2 is a musical performance that finds its roots in ancestral stories and traditions.
Section One dedicates itself to the fascinating themes of resilience and bravery and explores the significant role these themes have played in both contemporary and traditional Greek music. Further to this, Section One also highlights the importance that narrative has played in the musical depictions of Greek history and culture.
Section Two is focused solely on the fascinating musical evolution of Greek dance music and will invite the audience to experience the enchanting nature of the fiddle, the hypnotic strumming of the lute, the heartbeat of the drum and the raw sincerity of the clarinet.
