The 26th Delphi Bank Greek Film Festival Opening Night |
From award winning and acclaimed Director Tassos Boulmetis, the heartwarming docudrama 1968 about the epic basketball game between A.E.K., Athens and Slavia of Prague (Czechoslovakia) will open the 26th Delphi Bank Greek Film Festival on Wednesday 9th October.
The 26th Delphi Bank Greek Film Festival Opening Night Gala will be held at The Astor Theatre followed by the After party ($59) and the Opening Night celebration will be held at Palace Cinema Como The film tells the story of the Greek basketball team A.E.K. and their David and Goliath battle to win the first ever European championship by any Greek team. Interwoven in the film is the original footage from the 1964 European final, interviews/commentary from the players of both teams as well as the personal stories of the people who were involved in this |
