Aimed to attract children, adolescents and adults who wish to cultivate their theatrical expression, the centre will provide students of a Greek background an avenue to express their feelings, emotions and character via their participation in theatrical experimentation and performances.

The Creative Drama and Arts Center teaches Theatrical Expression. The Theatrical/Dramatic play is a process by which everyone can, in a pleasant way, express emotions and discover methods of communicating. The more playful the learning the easier and more enjoyably children learn.

The lessons that will take place at the Creative Drama and Arts Center include:

  • Improvisation
  • Correct Articulation / Voice-Training
  • Pantomime
  • Kinesiology
  • Introduction to role-playing
  • Physical and verbal expression
  • Mask Doll/Puppet Making
  • Introduction to theatre items
  • Myths/tales

The means for these lessons are texts (myths, tales, poems), photos, textiles, construction materials, music. But the way of thinking and children's imagination will become the basic tools for completing the lessons.

Our goal is not for the students to become professional actors, but to find methods to express situations and roles in their own unique way. To raise awareness and to foster creative expression. To sharpen their imagination, to learn to cooperate, to gain courage and confidence in speech, to create with their hands and their minds. To learn to be good spectators and given them the opportunity to experience the joy of creating.
