2022 Greek Book Fair Exhibitor: Koraly Dimitriadis

KORALY DIMITRIADIS is a writer and performer who explores cultural and religious repression, divorce, single parenting and feminism in her work. She is the author of the poetry books Just Give Me The Pills and Love and F--k Poems (which has also been translated into Greek). She also makes films and theatre with her poems.

Her digital poem 'Mediterranean Madness' was shortlisted for the Queensland Poetry Festival in 2020, and it was recently shortlisted for the Victorian Multicultural Commission Film Festival. She is a freelance opinion writer who has been published widely across the Australian media, with international publications in The Washington Post, The Guardian, Aljazeera and The Independent (UK). Literary publications include Southerly, Overland, Meanjin, and international journals in Polish, Czech, Greek and Greek-Cypriot. Koraly has toured her poetry internationally across Europe and the USA with assistance from the Cypriot government.

She was the recipient of the UNESCO City of Literature residency (Krakow) in 2019 for her debut fiction manuscript. She also received a Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellowship in 2017. In 2021 she was awarded a Creative Victoria grant to develop her first book of non-fiction, Not Till You're Married, which explores how a strict upbringing manifests in the adult, and she is currently surveying second-generation migrants for this project. www.koralydimitriadis.com
