Course Description
Our advanced course is for students with a solid grounding - typically at least 200 hours of prior instruction, equivalent to completing both volumes of Athenaze. We read widely across authors working through the subtleties of syntax, style, and meaning that translations inevitably lose. You'll refine your command of the language while developing the close-reading skills to appreciate these works as literature, argument, and historical record.
Course Description
A 10 week Ancient Greek Advanced 1 Course in term 1 (January - April) followed by Ancient Greek Advanced 2 (11 week course in term 2: April-July), Ancient Greek Advanced 3 (9 week course in term 3: July-September), Ancient Greek Advanced 4 (10 week course in term 4: October-December). Ancient Greek Advanced level knowledge is required (students should have been taught Ancient Greek for at least 200 hours).
This course is suitable for students who wish to study pieces of literature written by Classical Greek authors.

Term 3 Enrolment Deadline: Official enrolments for Term 3 will close on Friday, 10 July. Enrolments received after this date may still be accepted, subject to class availability and capacity. Please note that a 5% Late Enrolment/Administration Fee will apply.
